Our services
ATS consists of five departments: Technical Department, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment), Dispatch, IT Shared Service Center and CBPA (Central Barge Planning Antwerp).
Technical Department
Our technical department has over 400 employees and is responsible for the complete maintenance and management of the container cranes, rolling equipment and buildings and infrastructure of the terminals.
- Operate & Maintain: providing 24/7 maintenance, repairs, and spare parts management
- Design & Implementation: providing renewals and replacements to keep our terminals efficient, safe, and ready for the future.
IT Shared Service Center
Our team of dedicated colleagues monitors the IT environment of PSA, MPET, and ATS 24/7 to ensure that our systems are reliable and continuously operational.
We work closely with other teams across the boundaries of our three organizations. This allows us to resolve incidents quickly, prevent malfunctions, and ensure that major problems are a thing of the past.
Our experts are available day and night to take care of IT problems. With clear communication and a customer-focused approach, we ensure every user receives timely assistance.
HSSE
Health, Safety, Security, and Environment
The HSSE department provides support and advice in four key areas:
- Health & Wellbeing: ensuring safe and healthy workplaces and conditions for all our employees
- Safety: ensuring the safety of our employees in all aspects of their work
- Security: guaranteeing the physical security of our terminals and employees
- Environment: advising on environmentally friendly working methods and monitoring compliance with environmental standards
Barge Planning
CBPA - Central Barge Planning Antwerp
Every day, our barge planners draw up schedules for the barge companies that will be handling containers at the deep-sea terminals the following day. This is done in collaboration with all parties involved and is fully coordinated with the loading and unloading lists.
During operations, our barge planning officers monitor everything 24/7. From a helicopter perspective, they respond quickly to changes, ensuring that planning always runs smoothly and efficiently.
Dispatch
Our dispatchers continuously coordinate where and when more than 2,500 dockworkers are deployed at the PSA Antwerp and MPET terminals, ensuring that planning runs smoothly and everyone can contribute in the right place.
They are physically present at all locations to communicate effectively with the dockworkers and work closely with HR.
In addition, they manage competencies, preferences, and availability, process tens of thousands of vacation requests annually, and closely monitor absences.
